The Government's flagship energy efficiency programme, The Green Deal, finally launched on October 1st. Green Deal Installers, Green Deal Advisory Services and Green Deal Providers are now appearing on the Green Deal Oversight Body website.

The domestic RHI is set for launch in summer 2013 and today' announcement includes proposed returns to householders.

The Microgeneration Certification Scheme & Green Deal Oversight Body have confirmed the requirements for MCS Installers & Gas Safe Registered Installers.
For installers who already have MCS Accreditation, they will be deemed to have met the requirements set out in the technical annexes in PAS 2030 for the measures they are covered for by MCS but will still need to put in place QM systems/assurance to fully meet the requirements of the PAS 2030. This exemption only applies to measures covered by the MCS scheme. If MCS Installers wish to install other Green Deal measures, they will have to comply with the full requirements for these measures. MCS Installers will also need to sign up to the Green Deal Code of Practice.
The Department of Energy and Climate Change has released the official quarterly statistics for solar pv installations in 2012. Under the newly-introduced capacity trigger mechanism, the level of installations recorded in May, June and July inform the Feed in Tariff rates for November 1st.
