Greg Barker, Energy & Climate Change minister has outlined the Government's plans to further develop the Green Deal and Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) in 2014.
Today is Deadline day for past Renewable Heat Installations
Today, 22nd October is deadline day for registering installations on the MCS Installation Database for Renewable Heat Installations back to 15th July 2009.
The deadline is set for 4pm. This means that all MCS compliant installations installed since 15th July 2009 but not yet registered on the MCS Installation Database, must be registered by this time to receive an MCS Certificate. After 4pm it will no longer be possible to register these installations.
1 week left until RHI Installation Deadline

The Microgeneration Certification Scheme have announced a number of consultations covering MCS Installation Standards. These consultations are proposing a series of changes and updates covering both MCS Installers & MCS Products.

Domestic Renewable Heat Incentive confirmed
The Department of Energy and Climate change has confirmed the long awaited details of the domestic Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI). The Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) for householders is designed to drive forward uptake of renewable heat technologies in homes across Great Britain to cut carbon, help meet renewables targets and save money on bills. The RHI is a world first, and has been operational the non - domestic sector since November 2011.
July Feed in Tariff deadline leads to Solar rush...
The UK Solar PV industry has installed a record of 21MW of new Solar PV ahead of the July reduction in the Feed in Tariff. During the last week of June, 5,694 Solar PV systems below 50kW were registered showing a 137% increase on the previous week - a yearly high of 13MW.
