Latest stats announced by MCS
As part of the latest newsletter from the Microgeneration Certification Scheme, there have been a number of statistics released. The number of MCS installers is continuing to grow according to MCS but the gap between heat installers and Solar PV installers is widening following last years Feed in Tariff cut. This also suggests more installers are gaining MCS Approval ready for the Renewable Heat Incentive introduction.
The total number of MCS Installations covering all technologies is now slightly above 445,000 with just under 32,000 of these being heat related. Although since February the number of heat installs per week has average at 290 this is suggested by MCS to be as interest in the domestic RHI has increased.
MCS are also starting and continuing a number of consultations including additions to the heat pump standard covering new technologies along with Mechanical Heat Recovery and Wind.
