LCBP1 - Now Closed
Closed May 2010 - DECC's Low Carbon Buildings Programme householder stream which was linked to the Microgeneration Certification Scheme, was due to be open until late 2010 for heat generating technologies (solar thermal hot water, ground source heat pumps, air source heat pumps, wood fuelled heating) however it ended in May 2010 in line with new Government Spending Cuts. The funding was allocated on a first come first served basis. Grants were available for the following MCS technologies:
* Wood fuelled heating (Biomass Systems)
These technologies are now covered by the Renewable Heat Incentive.
The Low Carbon Buildings Programme householder stream was closed in April 2010 for electricity technologies (solar photovoltaics, wind turbines and small scale hydro). These technologies no longer qualify for funding as they are now covered under the Feed In Tariffs.
